At Emmanuel Baptist Church, Carthage we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to either our 11:00am or 6:00pm Sunday service, or our 7:00pm Wednesday evening Bible Study.
Our church is located at 632 McCrimmon Rd, Carthage, and parking is located on both sides of the main church building. We have several handicapped parking spaces near the doors, if needed.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get His approval - or ours. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church wear dresses, suits and ties, others like to remind us that Jesus never wore a suit and tie. All we ask is that it is respectable - for yourself, and for others.
When you walk in, you may want to find one of our greeters (if they don't see you first) and introduce yourself. They're usually stationed at the doors and Welcome Center Desk, and they'll show you where everything is. They'll have a bulletin for you, and help you find the nursery and Sunday school rooms if you have kids and would like to utilize those services. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary and will be happy to assist you in finding a seat, if you like. If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are able to provide helpful answers.
Please be assured that your children (even the youngest) are welcome in the sanctuary, and the nursery and toddler rooms are only for your convenience if you should want to use them. There is a changing table in the nursery (not in the restroom), if needed.
Be sure to hang around after the service and stop by the Welcome Center for your free gift. You'll have a chance to meet our Pastor, Mike Garner, and many other people in the church. We'd also love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you come.
