FOR THE SAKE OF THE UNBORN!
January 20, 2026
“For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb..."
(Psalm 139: 13-165:18)
We here at Emmanuel Baptist Church must continue the fight, no matter what! We must speak up loudly to affirm the value and importance of all life, born and unborn! Thousands of unborn babies are being slaughtered every day while most Christians stand silent in the pews!
The Bible says that men and women are created in the image of God. The Bible says in Psalm 139: 13-16 that God Himself takes responsibility for forming that little baby. He’s the one who knits the babies together in their mother’s womb. He’s the one who sees their yet unformed self. He’s the one who takes note of them while they are still inside the womb. Who is it that causes that unborn to survive in the womb? It’s God Almighty! Who is it that gives life and brings life? It’s God Almighty! Who is it that takes the little hands and little feet and little eyes and little noses and little lips and puts them all together? It is the Lord Almighty! So, if we believe in the Bible, and we must as Christians, then I think we must stand firm with a loud voice on our belief in the Sanctity of Life, born and unborn! We have to say with a loud and strong and clear voice that from the moment of conception, there is a special little individual who has come into being, a little baby with a human soul - a little baby for whom Christ Jesus died! We must say that; we must stand in that, and we must hold it up! We must continue to speak out with a great voice and cry out that when a baby is aborted, it’s not simply the termination of a pregnancy or it’s not simply discarding out fetal material, NO NO, it is the killing and destroying and the murder of an innocent little human being, a little baby who is made in the image of God!

WHAT ARE YOU SEEING?
November 14, 2025
Sometimes there is a difference between facts and truth! That fact is this country is in a mess and things are up and down and all around, but the truth is, “My God shall supply all our need according to His riches.” (Phil.4:19). One day Elisha and his servant woke up in the town of Dothan, only to discover that they were surrounded by their enemy! When the servant saw this, he panicked! And guess what? Elisha prayed, “Lord….open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of this young man, and he saw. “And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:16-17). Listen up, and open your ears! God wants us to LOOK to Him and know that in our darkest moment, our darkest hour, we don’t have to be afraid! What we have going for us is so much greater than anything or anyone that comes against us! So let’s rise up in these difficult days in a divided country and pray for our President and Vice President and the other leaders in office with a great faith and say as the psalmist said, “My Help comes from the Lord.” (Psalm 121:2) and remember as a child of God, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4). Then let’s act like we BELIEVE IT!

HOW IS YOUR FAITH...DETERMINED OR DEFEATED?
November 11, 2025
When you come to our Old Testament in our Bibles, we find one of the most famous men and it goes like this: In chapter 1, he’s wealthy and prosperous! In chapter 2, he loses everything, even his children and his health. In chapter 42, he is more prosperous than in chapter 1!
If you want to know what happened from chapter 3 through chapter 41, then you need to read the account of Job we find in the Old Testament! A prosperous father of the Bible who had it all, then lost it all, and then got it all back in the end—doubled! Wow! I get blessed and encouraged each time I read his account in scripture! And one Word that comes to my mind, over and over and describes and summarizes Job’s return to the top of prosperity is determination and faith! Job lost everything and was full of heartache, and everyone around him ( even his own wife) tried to convince him to give up on God and give up on himself, and give up on his situation! But you know what we find? Job had a determined unfaltering FAITH! He knew that God was just and faithful and fair! He wasn’t about to give up on the Lord or throw in the towel in his own faith just because he found himself stuck and sinking in a place he didn’t understand! In the end though, God met with Job and explained as much as Job needed to know and restored his health and his family and his fortune! And that brings me to you, reading this!
Are you stuck and mired down in a place and a situation in your life right now that you don’t understand and can’t comprehend? Hey! Don’t give up on our Lord Jesus and don’t give up on yourself! Faith that throws in the towel and gives up today, won’t have one to wave in victory tomorrow! Be determined to stay the course of your faith and know our Lord is with us always! And that reminds me of what Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 “ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteous, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love His appearing.”

CHRIST’S RESURRECTION - AND YOURS AND MINE!
A LOVE STORY
March 31, 2024
The word “resurrection” means “the standing up of a corpse.” Most religions teach the concept of immortality, but only the Christian faith teaches bodily resurrection. “If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will bring God with Him.”
Old Job, whose children all died tragically in a single day asked, “If a man dies, shall he live again? (Job 14:14). We ask this question when death claims someone we love!! So God gave Job - and us the answer that dries our tears, heals our broken hearts and focuses us on something greater than this temporary life with all it’s troubles and even more in today’s times! “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth, and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me.” (Job 19:25-27).
Praise the Lord! Think about this in these tough times as it’s Spring time and the butterflies are out! Cut the TV off and go outside, and as you see that butterfly like this one I took
Love y’all bunches !
A VALENTINE’S LOVE STORY
February 12, 2024
“Then Issac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife,
and he loved her. So Issac was comforted after his mother’s death.”
(Gen. 24:67)
This old life can be real tough, and I believe that’s one of the reasons that our Lord created marriage (ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN AS GOD DESIGNED)!
This one of a kind relationship wasn’t meant to add to life’s difficulties or complications, but to strengthen you and me during the hard and difficult times that come our way! Marriage gives us a best friend to face the storms!
In Genesis 24, Issac was heart broken due to the death of his mama, Sarah. I can imagine that Issac was a mama’s boy much like I am, and that there was an unbreakable bond there between mama and son. If you remember, Issac was born In Sarah’s old age as a fulfillment of the Lord’s promise. She took care of him when he was a baby and in return he took care of her in her declining years. When she died, Issac was brokenhearted and joyless until the Lord provided a wife to comfort him.
If you are married, one of the main duties in life is to meet the needs of your husband or wife. We all know for us who are married it isn’t always an easy job, but it begins when we learn to value the other better than ourself, looking not at our own wants and interests, but to the needs of the other! I can say over the last almost 35 years of my marriage, Karen has definitely put my needs and our children’s needs above her own!
What can you do to show love and encouragement, not just on Valentine’s Day but everyday to your husband or wife?!
Happy Valentine’s Day !
Sparrows!
January 29, 2024
“Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:7)
In teaching us how to live, Jesus used sparrows to show us His point. A worthless sparrow! “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God….Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7).
In Christ’s day they didn’t sell double cheeseburgers at McDonald’s, they sold sparrows (YES, SPARROWS) on a stick that had been roasted over a fire. You could buy 2 of them for one copper coin. But you could get 5 for 2 copper coins, they threw in the fifth one for free. That meant it was worthless! What was Jesus’ point? You and I are valuable in God’s eyes!
Do you feel like if you weren’t around, nobody would miss you; like your life means nothing? You’d be surprised how many people, even big high paid, high profiled ones, struggle with a sense of loneliness and inadequacy. When God call Jeremiah to be a prophet, he explained to God that he was afraid of people. So God said, “Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you.” (Jer.1:8).
When you feel worthless you conclude that others feel the same way about you, so you begin to approach them fearfully or aggressively, or even resentfully! What’s the answer? Remembering your worth in God’s eyes! There is no rejection in His love, only complete acceptance! You’re connected! You have a friend that sticketh closer than a brother, a friend in high places! Jesus said, “ I have called you friends.” (John 15:15) Will everybody accept you? NO, but when you base your worth on our Lord’s love and acceptance, you’re free to enjoy life knowing you are His and He is yours! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! Our Protector! Our Provider! Our Provision! Our Savior!

CAPTURING OUR CHILDREN’S HEARTS!
June 18, 2023
“Lo children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” (Psalm 127:3)
Regardless of the age of our children, we all need to throw on the brakes of every day life and start spending more “Heart To Heart” time with them. Even if they are not receptive to begin with. Even if trust needs to be rebuilt. Even if your children are grown and gone, your pursuit of their hearts must still go on! It’s time to turn the corner. To remember that teaching your children to love the Lord cannot and will not happen when you’re not loving them well yourself. It’s time to clear out all the hustle and bustle of every day life that has created a barrier between you and your children.
God has entrusted you and me with a unique role and responsibility in our children’s lives! Are you too busy...am I too busy with our careers, or chores, or hobbies to invest and have time for our children and our grandchildren? Do we try to buy their love with gifts! Do we say, “ I don’t have time, I have to see this TV show—go play with your toys! I want to watch this NASCAR race, the NFL football game, this hunting program.” And ladies I haven’t left you out, “My cooking show, my soap opera.”
God is saying to you and to me, “I have given you these children, they are a gift from me!” In Psalm 127:3–He says, “Lo children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.”
We need to realize—don’t leave this important responsibility to teach our children what’s right up to the social media platforms, video games and especially the government and school systems which are indoctrination camps for teaching against everything that God’s Word says is Holy and Righteous! It’s my duty, it’s your duty to teach them of an Almighty loving God who will never leave them, nor for sake them, who sent his only Son to die for them on an Old Rugged Cross that they individually have a hope in a promise, and eternal hope, which is Jesus Christ, and He is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever. Hallelujah to the Lamb Of God!
TAKING CARE OF THINGS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
June 10, 2023
“But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” (Matt. 5:44)
What would you do today if you were told you only have a week to live, a day to live, or even a hour to live? What would you do with your time left?
Most likely, I know for me, I would want to visit all my family and friends if I were able to. If not, I would try to call them. We may also try to go back and try to tie up some loose ends or try to heal some broken relationships. And it would probably seem like a lot easier knowing that your time is very short, but what about today? What about right now as you’re reading this?
It is so sad, all the broken relationships in the world today, but it’s even more heartbreaking all the broken relationships within the church family today! Professing believers not willing to forgive and restore a broken relationship even when God’s Word tells us that’s exactly what we suppose to do! We are supposed to show our love for others—— and not just the ones who are easy to love, but also our enemies.
It amazes me how so many non-Christians can appreciate and show the importance of living a life free of hate and spite and yet you have some supposedly born again believers who choose to hold a grudge or do things out of spite or so words of discord knowing that the Bible plainly instructs us not to! What is it going to take in your life for the Lord to get your attention about forgiveness?
We need to search our heart today! Don’t waste another minute! How are you going to show love to those around you and in the world? Before it’s to late, share the love of our Lord Jesus with everyone in your life! Give forgiveness out just like Jesus gives it out to us daily! From a husband, wife, child or friend to an enemy, life’s to short not to show love!
Thank you Lord for loving me when so many times I’m so unlovable! WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS!
Love in Christ!

FORGIVENESS WILL BRING FREEDOM IN YOUR LIFE!
Jun 5, 2023
“You are the man!” (2 Samuel 12:7)
Are you hiding something this morning? Listen to me, sooner or later our sins will find us out. King David had been trying to hide his sin, so it was probably a relief of some sort when the prophet Nathan confronted him, saying, “YOU ARE THE MAN!”
You know, it seems like in Christians, and our churches today that genuine repentance and confession of sin is almost non-existent in this generation. We have developed a pattern of making excuses for our ill behavior, or explain away our guilt and blame it on the other person. We try to downplay its significance and divert the attention to other things.
However, David finally said, “I have sinned against the Lord” (2 Samuel 12:13). I have found from this example in God’s word, that the only way that I, or you, will ever get freedom from guilt is to step up to the plate, realize and acknowledge what we have done and quit blaming everyone else and take full responsibility for what WE did!
Hey, we may have to face some difficult consequences (WHICH TODAY YOU NEVER HEAR OF). But I am so thankful, we’ll face them, while wrapped in our Lord’s mercy and grace! We may have to make some corrections or restitution, and as the old saying goes, ”TAKE YOUR MEDICINE”, but praise the Lord we’ll do it with the help of our Lord’s grace! Listen to me, when we keep hiding our sins, they fester up like old pus in a sore and become like a overtaking cancer to the soul. Quit being stubborn and find the freedom of forgiveness that our heavenly father is just waiting to give you and me!
WHERE ARE YOU ON SUNDAYS?
June 3, 2023
“Continuing daily with accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house….” (Acts 2:46)
Where do you spend most of your Sundays? A evangelist once said about his father, “My father was faithful to be in God’s house. When he felt like it, he was there! When he didn’t feel like it, he was there! When the preaching was good, he was there! When the preaching wasn’t so good, he was there! He was faithful.”
I shared this with you to say, today’s crowd here at Emmanuel Baptist Church and churches everywhere aren’t quite so faithful, and we have a society that continues to help that cause! We continue to show the world and more importantly, our children that being in church is not all that important anymore. Fewer and fewer families are in church on Sundays because of “More Important Things, like sleeping late, attending sporting events or every weekend vacations... and you can go on and on.
It appears that many are more concerned about winning that big trophy or that all star award than their children’s spiritual growth and eternal soul! You make time for what you truly love and what is truly priority in your life. Luke-warmness is running rampant in our churches today, and we are seeing the effects of it in many ways with one in that you can’t tell the difference in the church and the world!
We need to be in church for many reasons, and the main one is to worship and serve our Lord Jesus! We also need to be in church to fellowship with one another. The body of Christ is a family whose members should be involved with each other, encouraging and building up and praying for one another! The early Christians couldn’t seem to be together enough, (but now the only thing that brings the church family together is if you have a meal to eat, then the church is full!) They continued daily with one accord in the temple, and from house to house!
There is something wrong with our Christianity when the preacher and others have to beg most of our crowd, or any born again believer to come to church, and don’t tell me how much you love the Lord or how you’ll go to jail over your faith, when you won’t even go to church for it!
BE IN CHURCH ON SUNDAY!
Love In Christ!

AN UNCHANGING GOD!!
June 1, 2023
“For I am the Lord, I change not;” (Malachi 3:6)
In an everyday changing world, I’m so thankful for an unchanging Lord and His unchanging Holy Word! All of us are like a blade of grass caught in the always flowing deep river, with a change every second in the rolling water currents! Every moment is different than the previous one. Our bodies change and our health changes, our finances change, our age changes, our church attendance changes, our culture changes, and our world is in constant chaos!
Just look at the last few years with the corona virus, the gas and food shortages, and the most demonic government we have ever had! BUT!!! At the core of this old universe is one thing...that I have an unchanging God—Enduring and abiding and present and active and changeless! The same yesterday, today and forever! In Him we have an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast! Listen to me! We can have confidence in our Lord because of His unchanging ways, we will always have trials in this old life and there will be times when you may think that God is not there listening and present and active in your life but I promise you, He is working behind the scenes! When He seems distant and silent, trust Him anyway and obey Him in His Word and persevere with Him through it all! My Lord’s purposes, promises, and His love and His marvelous grace do not change! When everyone around you and everything before you are constantly changing, He will never be moved! God is good all the time! All the time God is good!

Memorial Day
May 30, 2023
“Greater love hath no man than this, than a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
As I sit here tonight, unable to sleep, and after our wonderful Sunday church services, I began thinking about Memorial Day and the sacrifices of men and women that were made for me and my family and this nation of families!
Memorial Day, a day when we stop to remember and celebrate the men and women in uniform from the past up to the present day, who served and died to keep our nation free and help us enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
There are no words in my heart that can express my heartfelt "thank you" and the gratitude I feel toward you and your families for the sacrifices that you have made and will make in the days ahead to preserve this awesome nation, defending our nation at home and in foreign lands.
Men and women who have died, and given up the opportunity to be fathers and mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers, to grow old and enjoy this great nation have given up everything - and so many of you in your teens and twenties - for me and all our families and our country. I owe you a debt I never can repay, but I will remember your sacrifice, your bravery and your love for your country. I will remember that my freedoms, such as freedom of speech, have not come from the media. It has come from you, the soldier! I will remember that my freedom of religion to read my Bible, to serve my Lord Jesus, to go to church every week without persecution - it has come from you the soldier, that takes it to our enemies, that allows me to have the freedoms that I have! It is you all in our armed services who fight and Pledge Allegiance to the flag, whose coffins are draped by the flag, who I remember and give thanks on this special day, Memorial Day! To those who have given all that they could give, with their devotion, love, and lives!
Me, my family, and all our Emmanuel Baptist Church families want to say, “THANK YOU” because we would not have the freedoms that we have in this great nation if it was not for you, THE SOLDIER!
Please know, that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers each day!
